Understanding Your Emotions: Why Your Emotions Are Your Greatest Teachers

A core intention in my sound healings is to raise our frequency and guide you into a state of higher vibration — especially in times when the world can feel heavy or uncertain. At our last Full Moon event, we truly lifted together. It felt like we were all levitating in a beautiful, elevated frequency.
While my teachings focus on releasing and letting go of stagnant energy and heavy emotions, it’s important to remember – these emotions are not the enemy. It's about understanding your emotions.
They are here to be felt, understood and moved through. But when they are held onto, suppressed or left unprocessed, they become stuck in the body and energy system. That is what we release.
Emotions are your greatest teachers.
Lower or negative emotions are not “bad.” They are deeply intelligent. Each one carries a message, a direction, a truth:
Anger shows you where your boundaries are
Jealousy shows you where you long to be
Shame reveals the part of you asking for acceptance and healing
Fear shows that your greatest power is yet to be unleashed
Regret invites you to forgive yourself
Disappointment shows you where you have unspoken expectations
Anxiety shows you where you are ready to build trust and confidence within yourself
Take a deep inhale now. Gently move through these emotions in your awareness and meet each one with love and compassion.
We are often taught to welcome only the “positive” emotions and suppress anything uncomfortable. But it is precisely these lower, more challenging emotions that hold the greatest wisdom.
Give yourself permission to feel everything.
Because THIS IS the human experience – to feel it all, to move through it, to learn, to soften and to grow. There is nothing to fix, only something to understand.
So the next time a negative emotion arises, meet it with curiosity and compassion rather than resistance. Invite it in. Listen. Breathe through it. And then: Let it guide you.
